How to Stop Cell Broadcast For Android Phone Users (EASY)

I am one of the victims of my service provider’s 100s of Cell Broadcast SMSes on a daily basis. The problem started soon after i got my new Lenovo K3 Note Android smartphone. When I talked about this issue with my friends, they were also clueless on how to stop the annoying messages.

Some of the messages that I got from Airtel reads like “Kannada Haadu 578785” etc.

After some tinkering with my phone, I finally found the soulution to stop cell broadcast messages for Android phone users.

How?

1. Go to Message Setting

2. Go to Cell Broadcast

stop cell broadcast how to 1

3. Go to Select Provider (In my case Airtel)

4. Now, Uncheck “ETWS Alert”

stop cell broadcast how to

5. Finish! No more messages.

If this steps works for you, please share in the comment box below.

apart from that i also tried going to “settings” application manager > all>cell broadcast>and did a force stop and reboot after that still same .
still receiving those annoying cell broadcast messages.
